About

My name is Olympia Georgoudaki.

I am an architect and urban planner. I am practicing architecture for more than 15 years in Switzerland, and I am very excited to bring architecture into the children’s world. I was born in Greece, and now I am living in Zurich with my husband and my 9-year-old son.

I am on the Advisory Board of the city of Zurich supporting the rights of immigrants in various projects related to migration, diversity and inclusion. As a board member of the Women Architecture Network of Zurich and the Swiss International Architecture Association, I deal with the visibility and promotion of women architects in the industry in Switzerland and globally. I am also an expert and board member of the Lares Association of Gender Planning.

Last but not least, I am the founder of Lab 50:50! Children have their own rights to use the spaces that are built by adults. Listening to them and learning from their priorities makes our planning more inclusive and fair. Working with children gives me the motivation to consider different approaches to design, but above all teach the children how to externalize their ideas, present their concepts and think sustainably by using the best skill they have; their imagination.
